At Penington Painting Company, we are honored to have played a significant role in the inaugural USA Military Rugby Tour to the UK. This inspiring trip brought together active-duty military and veterans to compete against the British Army and Royal Air Force over Remembrance weekend. It was an incredible opportunity to support our heroes and celebrate the values of teamwork, respect, and discipline—both on and off the rugby pitch.

A Tour Built on Dedication and Partnership

The success of this first-ever tour was a true testament to the power of collaboration. The Seattle Rugby Club was heavily involved, with our very own Club President serving as the team manager. Additionally, Seattle Rugby alum Duncan Cormack played a key role in organizing the event and coaching the Forwards, sharing his expertise to help the team succeed.

We were especially proud to see two former Seattle Rugby Club players, John Cullen and Craig Ogden, on the roster, representing both our club and our country with distinction.

As a major sponsor, we were thrilled that owners Jerry and Victoria could join the tour to witness the incredible camaraderie and sportsmanship firsthand. Supporting this tour aligns perfectly with our company's values, as we are deeply committed to giving back to the community and honoring the sacrifices of our military.

The tour was an overwhelming success, and we're excited to announce that it will happen again in 2025. This enduring program, brought to life by the dedication of individuals like Kevin Flynn, Brian Power, Dave, Jennie, Duncan, and our own Jerry and Victoria, is a powerful way to bring people together through the spirit of sport.
